Act 2: Upheaval I - The Werewolf

"Shouldn't we look for the Endless' nest? We may find out more about why it was here and what it wanted. I hope it wasn't making baby Endless or however they procreate."

Fluffle seems horrified by Steve's suggestion. Nadzieja peers at Steve and asks, "What would you do to these Endless, if there are any?"

"I... hope there aren't any. There are a few of them out there showing what passes for goodwill, i don't want to squander it by starting to kill their kind indiscriminately. Then again, i've met enough of them that just want to taste your pain as they kill you slowly."

Steve thinks about that a little bit and finally says, "If we can transport them I'd take them to the Endless that have helped us out and ask them what to do with them. Hopefully they'd take them in." He looks to Konrad and Mihai for approval.

Mihai shrugs - "If..."

"Hmph." Konrad bends down and rolls up the cuff of his pant leg to look at the bite, and sucks in air though his teeth.

"I don't suppose you agree with Steve and Mihai?" he asks the szef.

As Konrad checks the bite, Florolf looks up at the red mage and wiggles his tail.

"The Avatar told me there was only one Endless in Odwaz," Nadzieja replies. "I doubt he lied about that. But if he did and there's a nest somewhere in the Shroud, I have no idea where it is. For now, we need to carry the corpse back to the sector we're supposed to be patrolling." She pauses before turning to Steve. "If you want to search for the nest, I can take you back here at another time."

"I would like that, yes, thank you. Here, I have a sack for the head. I always carry a few spares just in case though I never thought we'd be using them for such a grizzly task." He pulls his backpack off his back and digs out one of his sacks. He offers it to Nadzieja.

"Here, I got it." Konrad gets up and takes the bag.

Deception 15
That sounds like a non-answer to me. How does she feel about their idea?

"Yes, Florolf, you helped. Fluffle, can you heal my ankle?"

Konrad:

Fluffle looks at Konrad's ankle and says, "Oh, Florolf bit you? That must hurt."

It takes the fairy only a few seconds to heal the red mage's injury. Once the werewolf's head is in the bag, Nadzieja she points to the rest of the corpse and tells the others, "I'll grab this leg. Someone grab the other."

Mihai grabs the other - "Let's go."

Steve readjusts his hat and says, "I'm ready." He gives Nadzieja a thumbs up.

"I've had worse." Konrad nods and falls in carrying the bag with the creature's head inside.

"By the way, I'm very impressed with how well you fought."

"You're welcome," Szef Zerva says.

With Mihai's help, she drags the corpse down the street towards the sector she and the party were supposed to patrol.

Fluffle lands on Steve's shoulder and Florolf trots behind the adventurers.

"So, how does this thing eat Magic? I'm guessing there's no mouth somewhere. Is it just always absorbing? How do you even cast at it?"
