Act 2: Upheaval II - Revelations and search

"What happens to an island's worth of people trapped in a ball of Solid Magic for 200 years? Do we even know the Empire knew what it was doing when they cast the spell? Is the Dome even thin enough not to cook everyone alive in there? Is it even hollow at all?"

"Well, theoretically the density of the Dome should allow matter to pass through. More so for air and less so for water. Much harder for solid matter like ships or people."

"It'd be really stupid if they built it to kill everyone inside," Amber comments.

"That's the going theory at Halfview, yeah. Though the mage researchers clearly haven't come to a provable consensus yet."

Mihai shakes his head thoughtfully - "I just can't believe any kind of normal society would have been able to sustain itself in there for two centuries. Out here, the level of Ambient Magic just increased by 1% lately and already that's thought to be the cause for all the Phenomena that have been popping up. Just how much denser is it inside the thing?"

"An award for dying?" Fluffle repeats. "That's horrible."

"Relax, he was just joking," Amber says.

"Oh! Oh, okay."

"While I do find this interesting," Nadzieja interjects, "I don't have much time left before I must meet my compatriots."

"We need to get going as well. Good luck with the signature. Please be careful. I know you are a badass but so are they."

"Yeah, we should get to it. If it goes well on our end, we may have something new come evening."

A lopsided smile appears on Nadzieja's face. "Badass, uh?"

"Quite so," Konrad chimes. "You are a formidable opponent."

"Well, we've all got errands. Let's see to them while we have the time." He remains seated.

"Hey, I've see you magic kick a fool. You are a card carrying member of the Badass Brigade. Your modesty, while endearing, won't ever change that."

"Well then, i think that's all the shock reveals we had in store. The urgent ones, anyway."

"...Thank you for the compliments," she says shyly.

"They're well deserved," Fluffle states with conviction.

Nadzieja clears her throat and turns towards Konrad. "I believe you had questions for me?"

"Yes, I do still have some things I wanted to discuss with you. Privately." His head swivels to the rest of the group.

"Think you're gonna be ok?" - he asks Nadzieja, about half joking

"Don't worry," she says in the same tone as Mihai's. "He is no threat."

"Lead the way, Steve."

"Femke, would you like to come run errands with us? I think it will be more fun than hanging out in the ship." He flashes his friendly smile at her.

"Yeah, come with us," the teenager encourages her.

The Tyke woman doesn't need to think for a long time before she answers. "A bath would be good."

"Great. I'll go grab my things. You have anything to change Fluffle?"

"Of course," the fairy says. "I brought a sack with me."

"Let's get it."

The three of them go into their cabins.

Mihai goes into his.

When everyone rejoins him on the deck with their laundry, Steve explains he just cut a deal with Segel to have everyone's laundry done from now on. They just need to leave their stuff here and buy some pizza for everyone while they are out and about. He directs everybody to leave the laundry in a pile for Segel's family and they head off towards that bathhouse Amber saw to get cleaned up.

While they are there, Steve inquires about their hours.

The public bathhouse will be open at all hours until the end of the Tournament. Just looking at the number of people entering the building, the party members can tell that they must be near full capacity at the moment.

After everyone is clean, Steve decides to take care of the resupply for the ship. With the help of everyone they first locate a supplier and then arrange for the resupply.

The goal is to get back up to 10 days of basic ship supplies with the added bonus of 3 days worth of fresh supplies like fruit and the like to increase the quality of the crew's meals. He'll do his best to haggle for a discount and for them to deliver to The Vulcan.
