Konrad won't waste time following Femke anywhere a conversation is happening.

"If he had the foreknowledge of our pet picking up our trail and Amber following after it to break us out, he would be. But he didn't even know we had love globules before doing what he did to us, and didn't encounter either of the former in the warehouse."

The Tyke woman tilts her head, but doesn't reply. Instead she nods at the party members and says, "I will accompany you in this mission and offer you my insight when necessary."

"...Thanks," Amber says, amused by the matter-of-fact attitude of their new companion. She then turns to her brother. "Mihai? About those letters... want me to go now while you three check the golem thingy?"

"Sure. Send them all by bird, so none will stand out from the others. And here." - Mihai gives her the money for the mail.

"Okay." Amber takes the letters and the money. "Come on Florolf."

The carbuncles raises his head at the mention of his name. He then follows the teenager outside. This is the perfect time for the party to follow up on the golem thingy.

"Speaking of these letters, I need to know who's playing host for Emerald's political gathering this year. It's happening a week from now. All I know about her is that she's a duchess. Do you have a name or an address for this person?"

Femke's eyes fall on Konrad. "Isidora Venator, the Duchess of Luxus, is the host for the biannual ball in Emerald this year. She lives in the palace with her daughter and heir, Caetronia. She is known to the Tykes for her staunch opposition to King Felix Tibur, and for revealing herself last year as a green mage by defending her daughter from a dangerous suitor."

Mihai's eyes narrow - "Are there any Green Mages among the contenders for the leadership of Myr? The thing Edward is after - they call it the Enemy - has taken over a Green Mage before. Could be a connection."

Konrad grins at the consummate knowledge being shared, and writes some notes on a piece of parchment. "Isidora...Venator. Luxus. Opposed to King Felix... Fended off daughter's dangerous suitor... Green mage. Wonderful. I'll have time to write the letter and transcript during the voyage. Shall we go to the warehouse now?"

"Yeah, let's get this over with." - he starts, but then looks at Femke - "You wouldn't have any knowledge on how to deal with a Golem, would you?"

The three party members arrive to warehouse #17 to find the large doors wide open.

It is now nighttime and the only source of light in the building is a lantern hanging against the wall. A young man sits in a chair, snoring. He doesn't seem in the least preoccupied by the golem standing a few meters away from him, right in the center of the empty warehouse.

As described previously, the strange construct is made completely of stone, roughly sculpted into an humanoid shape. It has bright blue eyes that glow in the dark, four fingers instead of the usual five, and unusual legs that almost seem to have a second joint below the knee.

It is staring right at Steve.

"Hello Mr. Golem. This statement is false!" Steve watches carefully to see if anything happens.

The guy in the chair keeps snoring. The golem keeps staring right ahead.

"Doesn't respond to greetings." After making this observation, Konrad moves behind the golem into a flanking position.

The magic going through the golem flows in a very predictable manner, making it obvious to Konrad that this construct was woven.

Mihai goes over to the sleeping man and nudges him awake. - "Wake up, sir."

"Hmm. AH!" The young man wakes up, very nervous. "I wasn't sleeping!"

Steve's dance is pretty good. A shame the golem keeps staring past the black mage. The guard however is confused by what he is seeing.

"There's...something, some kind of magic this woven statue's head." Suddenly he comes upon a hunch.

"We've met your kind in Zest, and we know what you are. Reveal yourself to us."

"Uh? What?" The guard is initially confused; well, it'd be a stretch to call him a guard, considering he's only wearing civilian clothes. He appears to understand what is happening. "Oh, you're the ones Galarian hired, right? Yeah, okay... uh, it came in while Johnny was here to clean the warehouse. Then it just stopped moving."

The golem doesn't respond to Konrad.
