DM answer: "he seems pretty sure"

Damian considers the question for a moment.

"I think so," he finally says. "There aren't that many women who pay for our services, even in Myr."

"Nope," the owner replies. He turns to look at Konrad and asks, "Still thinking a human did it, huh?"

"As much as one can in this line of business."

"A man in my position has to keep a certain distance with his workers." He puffs some smoke. "Do you have many more of these questions?"

"That's something I cannot tell you," he says. "Men, exclusively. That enough?"

"I already made an exception; this morning, when the Defenders came to ask me questions. But I'll tell you what I told them."

He puts his pipe away.

"We don't keep records of our clients. Most of them use fake names to avoid this type of problem."

Konrad does the same. "That's all. Thank you for time."

Mihai nods politely and walks off.

"Thank you and good luck to you." Steve tips his hat and joins the others.

Damian Stroik watch the party leave the street before returning inside the brothel.

The party reconvenes to discuss their next step. What will they do?

"It's about lunch time. Gonna grab a bite at the Market and see what the gossip is."

He then looks at Amber.


Mihai will blend in at the market. He'll mostly get lunch and buy trinkets, all in an effort to blend in as he taps into the local gossip and tries to get information about the murders.

Konrad heads to a busy tavern with which he is familiar, with Steve in tow, to ask about any murders before the one last night. When he gets to the counter, he buys a round for the house.

"Afternoon, good sir!" He smiles with a jovial toothy grin and puts down some silver. "This for my first round, And then a round for the house, if you please."

Buying everyone drinks for a boost

Steve tries to help and actually does for once when he befriends some dart players. He also gets lunch and makes sure Konrad eats too.

Amber follows Mihai to the Market. Together they gather as much information as they can on the murders. It also allows Amber to check out a few trinkets that catch her eye.

The Myrzens and tourists who are packing the tavern are pleasantly surprised by Konrad for his generosity. A few of them are grossed out by the red mage's scar, but Konrad is used to it by now. With Steve's help, he manages to make small talk with many of the patrons.

The party reconvenes at a plaza at 2:45 PM to share everything they've learned about the murders.

It seems clear that most people believe the monster is responsible for the disappearances that occurred over the last two weeks. Some don't share this opinion however. Considering how the monster was first seen two days ago at night, and that all bodies were found the next morning, a few people have theorized that the disappearances are separate from the slaughters. Others reply that this idea is bollocks; when the monster was finally seen by a witness it probably decided not to bother to hiding its presence in Odwaz anymore.

Including today, there are three victims confirmed to have been killed by the monster; the prostitute, a young carpenter, and an off-duty Defender, all found in or near the Den. As for those who disappeared, not much is known about them. For the last few weeks, there were rumors about people who just didn't show up for work, or abandoned their apartment. Even now, information about who these people were is vague at best. But it's believed that they all lived in the Den.

"Not much to go on, but maybe it's enough for a cross-reference if we get lucky at City Hall."
