Prologue: Just another day

Konrad knits his brow at the implication of his words. The next question isn't so much about getting to know "Stefan". "Wow, what a bunch of pricks. How are they supposed to know when we're done here?"

Stefan shrugs. "They have a talent for showing up at the right time."

Konrad's frown deepens, and his sword arm twitches. "Yeah, timing is everything these days." He calls out to Mihai, saying, "Hey 'Demon Hunter', you almost done in there?"

While the black mage is surprised at this turn of events he learned long ago that once a prank begins one must be committed, so Steve will continue singing the song over and over again, attempting to make it sillier each time. To give the singers an occasional rest, he'll break them into sections and let them sing different parts of the song. He also occasionally calls out "Fairies only!" or "Men only!" or "Pretty ladies only!" to keep things from getting stale.

The young woman keeps on singing, following each of Steve's instructions to the letter, just like the fairies. She has completely committed to this bit.

Mihai comes over to the entrance. He leans on the door frame opposite Stefan, placing him just slightly behind him (on the door frame's opposite shoulder). Also, giving him the view of the street - Konrad's current blindspot.

"A bit over half. Still some to go. Something up?"

The song continues. It is now a silly song battle! Who will break first? Steve is determined to win!

Stefan looks at Konrad, mildly confused by what he's saying. "I think you've got the wrong idea. They have nothing on me. But if you're so worried about it, you can just ask the boss when he comes; we're all working for him after all."

"We're done!" one of the sailors announces. "Ok, next batch."

They start bringing the carriage outside.

Roll results:

"Boss have a name?"

He seems to be telling the truth.

Konrad and Mihai:

"The man himself comes down to check on a cargo shipment?"

"You don't know what's in it?"

He's surprised by this.

"Oh, shit." Konrad leans back a little at this revelation. "Forget everything I said, then. Wow, this is bigger than I thought."

"We were ordered not to know. Can make an educated guess, though."

Stefan chuckles. "Sure you do." He gestures at the sailors. "They're leaving."

"I'm going with them." - Mihai starts, but then looks back - "Just curious, how many people depend on you?"

Stefan's shoulders slump. He isn't tense anymore, just somber. He looks down at the ground and says, "Too many."

"I see." - He walks off with the sailors.

Stefan nods at Konrad and walks into the warehouse to keep an eye on the crates.

Mihai, Konrad and the small group of sailors return to the docks and see a small choir of people singing. A crowd has begun to assemble, and some people are placing bets on when it will end.

Steve, Breeze and the bored woman are among the singers.

Mihai looks. Frowns. Then notices who is leading the band. His jaw drops.

He finds Fedler, and trying to work up some sort of coherent speech - "Um... what..." - he awkwardly points at the merry band - "...happened here?"

"No freaking idea," Fedler replies as she shakes her head. "I'm kind of stuck doing all the work alone now."

Mihai facepalms - "That girl stood out, i told Steve about it before i left."

He shakes his head with a heavy sigh, in abject bewilderment. - "Sorry."

Konrad stares dumbstruck at the scene. Then he snaps out of it and comes right up to the choir and waves with a cross look at the conductor.
